Project Manager

Softwright - January 1998 to August 1999

Softwright was at the time a systems consultancy specialising in the development of object oriented and web-based n-tier systems.

P&L responsibility for a one year development project using Microsoft Visual Basic, SQL Server and Windows NT technology. This was used to deliver an intranet-based content management system for online learning materials. The project peaked at 15 people and had a budget of over £1 million.

When the project was complete, given business development responsibility for marketing and selling the product into the online learning market.

Achievements

· Managed a challenging customer to minimise commercial risk to Softwright
· Brought together and motivated an inexperienced project team
· Contributed significantly to quality management system
· Acted as internal best practice guide for project management
